The cast of Empire is continuing to expand. After cameos from Kelly Rowland, Chris Rock and Alicia Keys, among others, rapper Xzibit is joining the crew for multiple episodes.
The former Pimp My Ride host will play music industry player Leslie “Shyne” Johnson, vicious rival of Luscious Lyon, with an unforgivable grudge.
Danny Strong, co-creator of the Hip-Hopera, told THR last month the last eight episodes of the sophomore season will focus more on the Lyon family, “going to be way lighter on the celebrity guest stars.”

Empire, which has already been renewed for a third season, returns for the remainder of season two Wednesday, March 30 at 9pm EST.
