TheSource.com: What’s your favorite song by Nicki Minaj?
Alexis: No faves, love all of old Nicki (Gucci days) and her features (“Roman’s Revenge,” “Hello, Good Morning,” “Slumber Party”) and all of The Pinkprint.
What do you like most about her?
She makes no apologies, takes risks (fashion/music content), she studied the game learning from her mentors and predecessors, and she’s conquered the industry.
What do you think she did for Hip Hop?
She’s diverse and caters to several demographics, not just Black people or women. She’s a really good MC; she evokes emotions, is relatable, controversial, humorous and has believable characteristics. She’s not just a female rapper, she’s an entrepreneur and dream chaser. I respect her hustle.
