XO artist Derek Wise is returning to the masses with a brand new song titled “Had To Wake Up.” Derek’s history in the city’s burgeoning new Hip Hop scene is no mystery and his buzz has consistently been growing since he signed to XO and made an appearance in The Weeknd’s “King Of The Fall” video. His most recent cameo was in Future‘s music video for “Colossal.”
Over the years Wise has remained busy immersing himself in the underground scene Toronto is becoming known for. He impressively channeled all of the obstacles he faced into crafting an equally vivid imagery through his music; there’s always a variety of textured sounds that describe his aesthetic.
Two years back a very unfortunate incident happened and the Toronto rapper caught 15 very serious charges. Wise took to his Twitter recently to announce all of his charges have been cleared and he’s ready to claim his spot with a bonus track for his fans.
