Once again, Drake the king of the 6ix side reigns supreme at the top of the Billboard charts as Scorpion will be the number one album, marking the eighth time Drizzy achieved the top spot. The album, which features Michael Jackson, Jay-Z, Ty Dolla $ign, Static Major and a host of uncredited appearances such as the City girls has captured the attention of the Hip-Hop in a critical time for the rapper after a shaky series of events in the rollout.

According to Nielsen, the album from Drake will clock in at 732,000 album equivalent units sold for the first week with 160,000 coming from traditional album sales. Number one on the Billboard Hot 200 is not a foreign location for the Canada product as he has took the spot with every official release of his except for the So Far Gone EP of 2009.

Scorpion’s reign at number one comes with plenty of additional superlatives across the streaming services as it shattered records such as being the first person to hit a billion streams in one week. The momentum of the album will likely be carried well into the summer as his single “In My Feelings” appears destined to take the number one slot and his Aubrey and the Three Amigos tour will take off across the country in August.
