The Los Angeles Lakers aren’t the only ones rumored for the return of Kobe Bryant to basketball, Ice Cube has been lobbying for the services of the Black Mamba to his Big 3 league continuously but consistently is denied.

On a visit to the Rich Eisen Show, the Big 3 head honcho revealed that he often requests Kobe to come out of basketball retirement and to play professionally for the first time since 2016. “Yes, every time. He always turned me down, but I don’t care. Next time I see you Kobe, I’m going to ask you again.”

Cube did let Bryant know that “whenever he get the itch” the Big 3 has a jersey for him to put on.

Rumors around Kobe Bryant playing professionally again first sparked when LeBron James joined the Los Angeles Lakers and it was believed he could join the newly arrived King. Kobe’s wife Vanessa denied any desire that Kobe would want to return to basketball, citing he is enjoying life off of the court. We can all dream though, right?
