The 22nd annual Urbanworld Film Festival went down September 19th to September 23rd. The opening night kicked off on the right foot with a special advanced screening of Night School. Cast members including Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, and Fat Joe were in the building, alongside director, Malcolm D. Lee, and producer, Will Packer.
The screening was so packed a second theater had to open in order to accommodate all the guests. Brooklyn rapper, Casanova, Shiggy, and Tristan “Mack” Wilds were among the influencers who came out to support the screening.
Journalist Elaine Welteroth, moderated the Q&A conversation panel with the cast and crew at the beginning of the screening. Both theaters came to a silence once the flick started. There were lots of laughs throughout the movie and there was a round of applause when it ended.
Night School is slate to be released on September 28th, and you surely won’t be disappointed.
