Will Smith, who will be playing Genie in the film released a poster on his Instagram Wednesday.
Walt Disney Studios took to Twitter sharing the poster after Smith, saying to check out the first look of the live-action remake on Thursday, hinting at a trailer debut or first official set photos.
The cast for the upcoming live-action Aladdin was revealed in July at D23 Expo, which includes Mena Massoud as Aladdin and Power Rangers‘ Naomi Scott who will play Jasmine. Disney had also confirmed that Will Smith will be playing Genie.
Billy Magnussen was added to the cast in September as a new character named Prince Anders. Guy Ritchi will be directing the live-action film.
The inspiration for the remake will come from both the animated Disney movie as well as the classic tales of One Thousand and One Nights.
It was reported in August that new songs would be coming to the film, including a new duet for Jasmine and Aladdin from La La Land duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who worked with Alan Menken, the original composer for the Disney animated movie.
