Steph Curry took the mic to thank the Warrior fans for their support during their championship run. The two-time MVP faced an injury-plagued season in 2017-18, but was able to re gain his health to help lead to Warriors to consecutive titles.
Although it was an emotional night, it was capped with a 108-101 win over the Westbrook-less OKC Thunder. Curry cruised to 32 points and hit five 3s in the process. For the first game of the season, the Warriors played well enough to get the win.
“We played a solid game, nothing spectacular, we had a lot of mistakes,” Curry said. “We understand the process of kind of building up.”
Kevin Durant had an all around solid game. The 2014 MVP finished with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. GSW are favored to 3-peat, especially with the addition of Demarcus “Boogie” Cousins.
