2 Chainz Based On A T.R.U. Story is shaping up to be quite an album. The artwork which premiered a few days ago is simple yet properly done. Two chains for 2 Chainz, what more is needed.
Not much more is known about the cover for 2 Chainz Def Jam Records debut, that is until now.
Apparently the photographer’s name is Fabien Montique and he was called upon on behalf of DONDA. That’s right DONDA, the creative institute Kanye tweeted about earlier this year.
In an interview with Billboard, 2 Chainz explained how the artwork came about, “Kanye and I share a similar vision and think along the same lines creatively. So, when it came time to develop the imagery for my project, I trusted him and his team at DONDA to get the job done and communicate my sentiments… They were the first people I thought of. Their team is unprecedented. Expect next level imagery, sonics and stage performance. This is curated art. The Louvre of rap.”
