Finally The Rock Comes Back……..Once Again!

Last night we saw the return of the great one to WWE along with some great matches and of course the moments we all wanted to change the channel to catch up with the ass whoppin that Alabama was giving Notre Damn. It was a great night for wreatling fans last night and in case you missed Monday Night Raw, myself along with Emilio Sparks present to you the Good and the Bad from Raw.

The Rock and CM Punk Confrontation

Rocky made his return to the WWE last night in Tampa, and we must say he electrified the building like the great one always does.  The Rock made his pressence felt when CM Punk was talking trash to the people of Tampa. The music hit and you just knew the battle of words and pipebombs was about to begin. I really love the way the Champion carried himself in this battle of the mics. CM Punk showed no fear and spoke to the Great One like no other superstar. Punk made it clear that his mission is to “Kick The Rock’s Ass” at Royal Rumble. The Rock as always had people chanting his nonsense, but I must “Cookie Puss” must get chant of the year. Too Funny.

John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler

How can you not enjoy Ziggy vs Cena?  At first I thought this program would be one sided in favor of Cena but after  being at Tables, Ladder and Chair live  at the Barclay Center  and seeing Aj turn side with Ziggler and how the Barclay Center embraced Dolph like he was Hov,  I knew this was going to be the program that makes Ziggler a top guy.

I think all who read this can agree that when watching Ziggler in the ring your more than impressed. Christ on twitter he’s nicknamed THE SELL GAWD. But when he talks you kind of lose sight of who he is gimmick wise.  Ziggy  has heat thats but  his momentum trails off at times.

Going into tonights RAW you got to see a more comfortable AJ lee who might have cut the best promo she has ever done and a Ziggler feeding off her vibes.  I like how Langston threw Ziggler in the match but I didnt like that Langston spoke.  I was hoping WWE kept Langston Zigglers insurance policy, similar to how Diesel was introduced. For a while Diesel never spoke he was there just looking like the monster while Shawn Michaels cut the promos.

John Cena wins via pin fall. The match was extremely impressive, for a freebee on TV. As the match went on the more intense it got. I said this on twitter  “Would it be to premature to say that Dolph/Cena matches are better than Punk/Cena? The reaction was split down the middle. What was predicable in a match that could have been built to a Rumble match was how it ended Ziggler hits every finisher he has and Langston hits his, Cena kicks out, delivers one AA POW match is over. A shoeless Cena celebrates.

Kane and Daniel Bryan vs. Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes.

Let it be known, I am a HUGE tag team wrestling fan. On WWE TV its something of a rarity. But for the most of 2012 tag team wrestling is alive and kicking on WWE TV. The intreats for tag team wrestling should be credited toward the paring of Kane and Daniel Bryan.  Youtube search how both former world champions came to be known as Team hell No.

Another paring I enjoy is Team Rhodes Scholars (Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes) Cody sporting an amazing 80s mustache and Sandow with his beard make a great tag team. Besides amazing facial hair both work well together and last nights match showed a cohesive tag team.

Rhodes and Sandow double team Bryan and work on his “bad leg”. Kane comes over and takes down Sandow. Cody dropkicks Kane back into the barrier. Cody goes back to working on Bryan’s knee and hits Cross Rhodes for the non-title win.

The Great Khali vs. Antonio Cesaro.

I know Its shocking that the word Good is attached to The Great Khali but thats only because he faced Antonio Cesaro.  Cesaro is one of my favorite wrestlers. I have been a Cesaro stan since he was known as Claudio Castagnoli during his indy wrestling days. So it doesn’t come as a shock that he would develop quickly as he has.  Im really enjoying the build up to the possible feud between The Miz and Cesaro. Miz on color commentary added to the continued heel development  that makes Cesaro one of the best mid card heels.

You see how great of a worker Cesaro truly is when wrestling a slow styled big wrestler in Khali.  The match was all Cesaro but the most impressive move of the whole match was when Cesaro hits the Neutralizer for the win. Cesaro is ridiculously strong, to hold Khali who is easily over 300lbs is an impressive feat.

The Shield Comes To The Champs Rescue

The Shield is a strong force to have behind your back and it seems like when CM Punk is in trouble they always comeout to his defense and yet, they still proclaim they have nothing to do with the WWE champ. Last night, in what appeared to be a clear win for Ryback in a ladder match for the WWE Belt, the lights when off as Ryback climbed the ladder only to find himself being attacked by the members of The Shield. The men took out Ryback putting him thru a table and steel staircase. The use of The Shield is very intruging and fresh the fact that The Shield still says that they are not apphilated with the Champ makes you wonder when we are going to find their true purpose in the WWE.

The Bad:

Zack Ryder

Am still a fan of  Zack Ryder but his gimmick has become stale thanks to WWE and the higher powers. One thing is for sure, WWE is clearly sending a message to the Long Island Iced Z. After WWE presented their segment “The World follows on Twitter” they clearly missed the internet champion, who is top five in twitter followers as far as WWE superstars go. Ryder is in a tuff predicament with the WWE. Just go Stone Cold on them Zack!

Sheamus vs. Jinder Mihal.

Did anyone give a shit about this match? Did you question why Jinder mahal and the rest of 3MB are still employed? I know the company needs enhancement workers who think there bad ass. Shit Zack Ryder fills the goof ball enhancement role.

The only good thing I enjoyed about this match was Sheamus seamless transition from comedic character to robotic ass kicker. Sheamus completely dominated majority of this match. 3MB just looked extremely weak against Sheamus.

Sheamus throws Slater into Mahal and clotheslines them both to the floor. Sheamus pulls McIntyre up next and gives him 10 forearms to the chest Sheamus hits White Noise on Jinder followed by the Brogue for the win.

Wade Barrett vs. Santino Marella.

What a fucken bore Wade Barrett is. Nothing this guy does impresses me. You know who does a better elbow than this limey fuck? Kassius Ohno (Chris Hero) If your not familiar with Kassius I suggest you watch Chris Hero vs KENTA, watch how an elbow should be used as a finish.

This match was the typical RAW filler nothing Santino will never be a threat he’s the Italian Zack Ryder. Why would you even include Rick Steamboat in this bullshit?

Kofi Kingston vs. the Big Show.

Shocker the Big Show wins in seconds. Big Show knocked out Kingston with one punch. Total mis match, Why wont WWE do something more with Kingston? Kofi is an amazing talent who just like Ziggler, performs to such a high caliber yet when he speaks you lose intreats. I would like to see Kofi a heel, but there are just some wrestler who will never be the heel. Kofi said on Colt Cabana’s podcast that he can never play the heel role because its just not in him. WWE, Kofi deserves more than a squash match.

Kaitlyn vs.  Eve Torres

I can always appreciate two beautiful women fighting against each other but when the match surpasses more than 2 minutes, the matches seem like they start to drag and your thoughts go elsewhere. I feel like the women’s division of wrestling needs some type of rejuveniation. These matches just are fillers, but I feel like WWE needs their womens division to be valuble like they once were in the late ninties.
