Now here’s something to get excited about.
The Heatmakerz, the production duo behind a slew of The Diplomats’ hits in the early 2000’s, not to mention a large majority of Cam’ron, Juelz Santana and Jim Jones’ solo hits from their highly acclaimed albums, have been in the lab with Kanye West working on his new album. In an interview with MTV News, one-half of the duo, Rsonist, admitted to having a record on the album, calling it “old school, epic Heatmakerz, soul music at its best”. Considering it was these types of records that helped Kanye stake his claim as one of the greatest contributors to this genre, its good news to hear that he’s getting back to this type of production. Though we wouldn’t call it “old ‘Ye”, we’re excited to possibly hearing some of classic ‘Ye in the near future.
