Rick Ross Feels He Deserved A Second Chance
Since the release of U.O.E.N.O. Ross has consistently been on a hot seat receiving all kinds of negative publicity. Shortly after the criticism Reebok decided to part ways with him due to the infamous date rape lyric.
TMZ reported that Rick Ross will lose somewhere between $3.5 Million and $5 Million for not endorsing the sneaker company. An unknown TMZ source close to Ross says that “he was entitled to corporate forgiveness because he did so much for the brand … bringing classic Reeboks back in style in the hip-hop community.” Reebok felt no type of persuasion from a dull apology from Rick Ross, which in large part led to several woman’s rights organizations disapproving the company not dropping Rick Ross sooner.
Neither Reebok or Rick Ross have gone into detail over their fallout. It is known that Rick Ross was collecting a check every time he wore a pair of Reeboks. The famed sneaker company reported that he was let go due to “values” and “his lack of remorse.”
