The only game that will be played is the waiting game
As you may know the manhunt for the Boston Marathon bomber is still ongoing and the city of Boston is basically on lockdown. Just as residents need to change their schedule so do the sports teams of the Boston area, and rightfully so as this manhunt needs to end before anyone else gets hurt.
As of right now this is where all the Boston area teams stand.
The Boston Bruins along with the Pittsburgh Penguins have canceled their morning skates. The Bruins’ spokesman Matt Chmura has said that the team has not made an announcement on whether or not tonight’s (Friday) game will be played. The Bruins’ have also postponed the sale of their playoff tickets, those tickets will now go on sale Monday morning at 11am.
Over at Fenway Park the Red Sox and Royals are due to take the field tonight, and once again their is no announcement yet on whether or not that game will be played as well.
The New England Patriots‘ have postponed the director player personnel Nick Caserio’s press conference until Monday. The press conference was in regards to next week’s NFL Draft.
Schedule wise the Boston Celtics are unaffected due to their first playoff game is in New York against the Knicks.
