The Grammy Award-winning singer/producer confirms Jay’s new album.
Since we learned a couple years ago that Frank Ocean was in the lab with Jay-Z around the time Watch The Throne was being crafted working on a new solo album from the Roc Nation CEO, the industry and fans alike have been itching to hear new material from arguably the greatest to ever do it. Appetites were temporarily satisfied a few weeks ago when Hov responded to outspoken critics on the Timbaland-produced “Open Letter”, but it simply made fans want more from Jay-Z.
Good news comes today as The Dream confirmed to Rap-Up that a new Jay-Z album is in fact coming out with a new album, hopefully this year. He reminded us that he’s been in the studio with Swizz Beatz and Timbaland working on the new material, in addition to a track from his upcoming album IV Play, titled “High Art”, on which Jay makes a highly anticipated appearance.
