Its only fitting that J. Cole and Wale are dropping on the same day. Their career paths have been dangerously similar, the content of their raps are alike, and they have numerous songs together, often addressing each other as “brother”. This summer, they’ll be competing for the top spot on the Billboard charts, as Cole’s sophomore effort, and Wale’s third album are pitted against each other. Cole has suffered a 6 month pushback from the original release date of January 28th, but in the meantime, the official lead single, “Power Trip”, has made everything worthwhile.
