The Hip-Soul artist gives his fans aka his “extended family” a piece of him through his music recently with his free LP, Beale St. Blues. The title of the album is inspired by his birthplace, Memphis, TN. Layne Harper believes in helping his listeners face whatever obstacles that come their way in life with his music because he’s all too familiar with their pain. From having no job and providing for a family to signing with Def Jam and touring on the BET Music Matters concert series, Mr. Harper hasn’t forgotten about his roots-a supportive fan base and musical integrity.
