Juxtapose these lyrics about growing up in a two parent household with a line like “Might have broke a heart or two but gave an honest effort/ My nonchalant attitude is always fuck it/35 years of marriage and my momma left it.” I wasn’t expecting Pusha to discuss his commitment issues and what it’s like to become a child of divorce in his thirties. For all its audacity, the album has the nuance to make repeat listens a must.
