Kendrick LamarGuests lined up as early as 10:30 pm on Jan. 9 outside the Light Club at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas for the Beats by Dre after party with live performances by Axwell and Kendrick Lamar.

Recording artist will.i.am, Beats Electronics President Luke Wood, Beats Music CEO Ian Rogers and Beats Electronics Founder Dr. Dre, Skylar Grey, DJ Axwell, NFL player DeAngelo Hall, all walked the red carpet at the party.

At 11:45 pm Axwell stirred up the crowd as soon as he entered and guests were eager to see the former Swedish house Mafia member.

With Beats’ logo confetti and lighting by Cirque du Soleil, the venue had all the accessories to make the party a one of a kind experience. From the club’s columns and walls to every member of staff, and even the dancers, everything had a Beats’ logo. The Dr. Dre headphones certainly had a dominant presence.

Jayceeoh came after Axwell at 1 am with color lights for everyone, while the crowd prepared for Kendrick Lamar . After asking if they were ready for Kendrick Lamar, the crowd focused all their attention on the dancer behind the enormous screen, and his hologram with digital graphics choreography.

With a casual grey tee and jeans, Kendrick Lamar began his performance with Back seat freestyle while the crowd roared.

“Backseat,” was next and everyone sang along to the lyrics. Right when the crowd was really into the performance, Lamar sang “Drank” with a chill attitude that made everyone enjoy the night with their hands up . Lamar’s face was displayed on the huge screens so the thousands of guest could appreciate the show from any of the floors of the club.

“Any beautiful mother f-ing ladies in the house tonight? ” The crowd screamed and soon he began singing “F–kin’ Problems”. With screams he thanked everyone for coming to the Dr. Dre celebration and with a sweeter beat he finished by singing “B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe.”
