Rather than speak about obvious hip-hop beefs, Tricia Rose discusses the issues within the culture itself. Rose takes the time to break issues down and shows the view from each side of the argument. From discussing Sexism in hip-hop or the portrayal of black culture Rose touches base on all arguments that have been brought up since the day hip-hop was created. There may never be a final answer to the apparent never ending debates but Rose may have found a way to get close to an “agree to disagree” conclusion.
