#12 North Carolina State Over #5 Saint Louis
If you haven’t noticed, things can get a bit tricky in these 12-5 match ups. The 12 seeds are the last teams in that received automatic bids, but they are just as good as any other team in the field. Before we dive into St. Louis, the NC State Wolfpack will have to get past Xavier in the opening round today. It will be tough,but NC State will edge Xavier in the play-in game.
NC State took down the #11 Syracuse Orange in last week’s ACC Tournament and lost a tough game against the #7 Duke Blue Devils in the ACC Tournament Semifinals. This is the main reason why this upset will likely go down, because the ACC competition has been the best in the country next to the Big East. St. Louis is no pushover, but they are on a skid losing four of their last five heading into the Big Dance. Don’t be surprised by this upset if it goes down.
