This is genius.
Zhi-Yun Zhang combines two of our favorite things, cartoons and music, with his latest art series “Cartoon X Pop”. The Lübeck, Germany-based art student masterfully reworks the likes of Kanye West, 2 Chainz, and A$AP Rocky into Porky Pig, Goofy and Stewie from Family Guy respectively and the result is pretty awesome.
The graphic designer explained the motivation behind the project: “Nowadays in every entertaining industry there are features and collaborations. I wanted to bring two sectors together. So I mixed up the style of famous cartoon shows with some of today’s musicians.”
One thing’s for sure, you probably won’t be able to watch these cartoons without thinking about his artwork after this — and perhaps that’s the point.
