Remy Ma‘s husband, mixtape aficionado and Brooklyn mainstay Papoose, has been in headlines consistently for the better part of the past year, generally for things other than quality music. From his crashing of 2013’s Summer Jam, to his relentless diss tracks, which were aimed at everyone from Kendrick Lamar to Big Sean, Pap’s been mixing it up with just about anybody who even looks at him the wrong way.
Question is, what did Jay do?
Even the most inebriated fans of either Papoose, or DJ Kay Slay, or both, would be hesitant to claim Papoose’s rap skills are superior to Jay Z‘s, but Pap himself has no problem proposing that theory. In an interview with The Daily News, he had this to say about his position in his home state.
Nobody is better than me — Jay-Z, nobody, None are more lyrically inclined than me. None of them. I’m definitely the king of New York. I am the greatest out of New York.
