V. Stiviano has been on every news site and television screen for the past week. After recordings from a conversation between her and Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling were made public, many questioned who she was and her real connection to him. stiviano

In the video, Sterling is heard spewing very dated racist remarks towards black people, while Stiviano is trying to get him to understand that the things he is saying are wrong. The entire thing can be read as a very well calculated ploy to expose Sterling, however, Stiviano has contended that this was not the case.

While many hoped to get some kind of quote out of her personally this week, she remained mum , sporting a metallic face covering visor every time she went out in LA. Last night, her silence came to an end as she sat with ABC’s famed journalist Barbara Walters for a 20/20 interview.

Throughout the interview, Stiviano claims that she doesn’t feel like the things he has said make him a racist. We’ve compiled a list of the most important quotes from last night’s interview, ranging from levels 1-10 in crazy. Check them out below!

  • “There’s been a number of occasions where Mr. Sterling and I had conversations just like this one. Part of what the world heard was only 15 minutes. There’s a number of other hours that the world doesn’t know.”
  • “I think he feels very alone. Not truly supported by those around him.”
  • “I think he comes from a different generation … he was brought up to believe these things … segregation, whites and blacks. But through his actions, he’s shown that he’s not a racist. He’s shown to be a very generous and kind man.”
  • “I think he was generalizing. I think the focus of the subject at that time was just black people, but I think he referred to everyone, not just black people, when he made that statement.”
  •  “I love him just like a father figure.”
  • “I’m Mr. Sterling’s right-hand man, arm/man. I’m Mr. Sterling’s everything. I’m his confidant, his best friend, his silly rabbit.”
  •  “He at first started paying me as an employee, and then he started paying me off the books.”

While Stiviano’s conversation with Sterling, as well as Sterling’s beliefs making their way to mainstream media caused him to lose so much, Stiviano repeatedly claims that she did not leak the tape. All in all, the damage has been done. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
