Lupe’s campaign is heating up.
Lupe Fiasco‘s new album, Tetsuo & Youth, has been teased mercilessly for the better part of the past 2 years, and Lupe’s had a large part in it himself. He recently wrapped up the Tetsuo & Youth Preview Tour over the winter, and since then, we haven’t been granted any official information about the album, but all indications point to the fact that it’ll be here sooner than most think. With his Ed Sheeran-assisted “Old School Love” on the airwaves–the record cracked Top 40 on the rap charts, peaking at #31–and his fight-against-cancer inspired “Mission” single gaining traction, Lupe drops an anthem that will surely impact the mainstream.
“Don’t say my name unless the city next to it”. Plus, you know what Ty Dolla does, at this point.
Listen to the radio premiere of the single below, and let’s hope the CDQ drops soon. It won’t be because we didn’t ask.
Hey @LupeFiasco, @tydollasign, @DJMoonDawg… CDQ of “Next To It” plz. MGMT
