Kyle LowryAfter the Miami Heat lost to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals, the big question is what will happen with their roster.  The “Big 3” of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh all have the option to opt-out of the final two-years of their contracts and become unrestricted free agents.  Whether they choose to stay and how much money they’ll require will need to be decided before the Heat can make any other decisions.

That of course hasn’t stopped the Heat from looking around and if the Big 3 decide to opt-out or take less money to stay, there’s one player on the market willing to come aboard.

“The guy who has mutual interest with the Heat and plays a position of need would be Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors,” reports ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. “But that, again, is a long shot unless these guys take big pay cuts.”

Lowry was apart of numerous trade talks last season until the Raptors saw great improvements and decided to keep him for their playoff run.  Lowry was a vital asset and will command a hefty contract during free agency.  The Heat stars would have to take significantly less money in order to acquire him and would have to be convinced he’s a critical piece necessary to make another championship run.  It’s the same scenario brought up with the possibility of adding Carmelo Anthony but of course on a different scale.
