This really sucks
Drake‘s rift with Chris Brown, fueled by their relations with Rihanna, unofficially ended last month when the two of them were spotted in a recording studio together, and Chris Brown joined Drake during one of the skits he starred in while hosting the ESPY Awards.
However, the two former foes were expected to formally bury the hatchet on stage at Drake’s 5th Annual OVO Fest, taking place tomorrow and Monday in Toronto, performing the song they recorded together shortly after working out their differences. Unfortunately for Drake, Chris Brown, and the thousands of fans that were in for that surprise, it is no longer possible.
According to a TMZ report, the same report that reported these alleged plans, Chris Brown was expected to help Drake make history–they’ve never performed together, even before their “beef”–but he and his team couldn’t convince Canadian authorities to let Brown into the country. Canada has a firm policy on letting criminals in–a title that unfortunately unequivocally suits Chris Brown–and despite what we’re sure were sincere efforts, the surprise won’t be happening.
Which begs the question…what else does Drake have up his sleeve?
