Issey Miyake Debuts ‘Nuit D’Issey’ During Fashion Week

Nuit D’Issey is the new men’s fragrance from Issey Miyake.

We had the chance to attend an mystical, enchanting evening for the launch of this scent. Upon entering the venue, it felt like walking into a mysterious sea of darkness – the fragrances displayed in water along with the television display of the sea helped exude the theme, “glowing of the moon”. Guests were also invited to have their initials engraved into a silver necklace to keep as a souvenir. In addition, the event had interactive games in theme of the night to further give off the ethereal feel. Throughout the night, there were plenty of Hors d’oeuvre and drinks to keep guests mingling and lively. Everyone went home with a gift bag which included a the new fragrance and informational pamphlet describing the cologne.

The fragrance was made in collaboration with Ryan Hopkinson with the inspiration of a mysterious, sensual experience. The fragrance is masculine and vibrant yet tender and elegant, aimed at the man who finds new light in the night. It features three components (light, tension, and attraction) that is based in a seductive combination of wood and tangy ingredients. The bottle also encapsulates the theme as it is dressed in all black in a curved glass bottle and symbolizes the waves of the sea, adding a touch of luxury to any decor. The spicy, manly fragrance has the supposed power to naturally attract anyone in its presence.
