Drake picks his favorite things and awards them gold sippy cups
The Grammy Awards have lost credibility among a few genres, and Hip-Hop is certainly one of them. Aside from the fact that Nas–regarded by many (including CNN) as the best rapper to have ever lived–has never taken home one of the coveted awards, last year’s sweeping of the prominent rap categories by Macklemore & Ryan Lews brought upon added criticism from several of today’s leading rappers, including J. Cole, Drake, Wale and more.
So, one of said rappers, Drake, has decided to take matters into his own hands. Today on Instagram, Drake decided to give out Grammy Awards for the following categories: Mixtape Of The Year, Latin Club Anthem Of The Year, Best All-Around Turn Up, Best Performance By A Group Or Duo and Vocal Performance Of The Year. The winners of those categories were PARTYNEXTDOOR, iLoveMakonnen, OG Maco x Key!, Young Thug & Rich Homie Quan/Rae Sremmurd and Bobby Shmurda respectively.
Regardless of what happens this coming February, we know where Drake’s loyalties lie.
