Adrian Peterson Is Headed To Jail, Worst Year Ever Continues

Adrian Peterson is having some year. Not in a good way

He’s less than 2 years removed from winning the NFL MVP award, and there’s a very good chance he’s already played his last game in the league. Adrian Peterson was the feel-good story of the 2012 NFL season after he returned from a vicious set of knee injuries to nearly break the NFL’s single season rushing yard record, and now his image has been flushed down the toilet of nearly every reputable media outlet, not to mention the team he’s played for his entire career (The Minnesota Vikings), and The Minnesota Star-Tribune, who released a report earlier this week alleging that AP used charity money for an orgy.

Today, AP did nothing to help himself, admitting he had “smoked a little weed” before a drug test, a requirement under the conditions of his bond. Upon learning of his bond violation, the Montgomery County prosecutors revoked his bond, and put out a warrant for Peterson’s arrest.

Not so fast, Montgomery County. Peterson’s attorney says the motion to revoke AP’s bond won’t actually be decided on until a judge has been located and assigned, and in the meantime, Peterson remains a free man.

For how long? That remains to be seen.
