Love her or hate her, Masika Kalysha says she’s here to stay.
The model-actress-singer turned Love And Hip-Hop: Hollywood star has a slew of new projects she’s working on that she’s excited to unveil to the masses. First up: becoming the face of Ace of Diamonds gentlemen’s club in Las Vegas.
On Monday night’s episode of LHHH, Masika took fans behind the scenes of her photo shoot for Ace of Diamonds. Although distance and work for other projects has made it difficult to be hands on with the club, Masika says she’s preparing for a special performance at its grand opening.
“The club opens, I think, December 1,” she said. “I’m going to do a sexy little burlesque performance of my new single. It’s going to be really cute.”
In addition to helping promote Ace of Diamonds, she also mentioned that she’s been in the studio with her LHHH cast mate, Yung Berg and Jeremih, among others. Masika is gearing up for the release of her single “Bad,” to be featured on a still untitled project.
“Its an girls anthem to showcase,” Masika said of her single. “The song is a mix of rock, pop and R&B.”
And if seeing Masika plastered on a billboard and bumping through your speakers isn’t enough, she’s making her way to the big screen as well.
“I just finished working on a film called The Prey with Kevin Grevioux,” she revealed. “It’s an action film so it’s something a little different for me.”
The film also stars Danny Trejo and Nick Chinlund. The Prey is slated to hit theaters in December.
While Masika shot down hopes of the possibility of her own weekly event at Ace of Diamonds, hence #MasikaMondays, she did say that it helps when she wants to connect with her fans on social media. And as for the haters blowing up her mentions, she had this to say: “Get to know me, we’ll be here.”
Love And Hip-Hop: Hollywood airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on VH1.
