Earlier this year, Rick Ross‘ interviewed with UK radio personality Tim Westwood, and offered up possibly the funniest and most entertaining conversation tidbit he’s offered up all year. When asked about his weight loss, Ross hinted at the fact that he was regularly eating fruit for the first time, and gestured–using his pinky finger and his thumb–to the camera, while literally shouting out “all the pears.”

Months later, that 6-second snippet of the interview turned into a Vine that has since gone viral. So viral in fact, that the U.S. Pears Association has caught wind of it, and their spokesperson, Kathy Stephenson indicates that along with it, their social media traffic has significantly increased. Though Ross’ obsession with the sweet fruit hasn’t resulted in a spike in sales, according to Modern Farmer, UPA is still very much appreciative.

On behalf of our 1,600 pear growers from the Northwest region, we are pleased that Rick has mentioned the health benefits of pears. Overall, we could not be more pleased with our message being delivered to a new, young and hip demographic.

Awesome.
