Happy Bornday to The God MC Rakim Allah, who turns 47 today
William Michael Griffin Jr., also known as Rakim Allah, was born in Wyandanch, NY on January 28, 1968. Defined as one of the most influential MCs of to ever do it, his classic first album ‘Paid in Full’ was named the greatest hip hop album of all time by MTV in 2006. Rakim began his career as the emcee of the rap duo Eric B. & Rakim. In 2011 they were nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
