Stephen Curry Hits 13 In A Row, Grabs 3-Point Contest Championship

Stephen Curry beats out teammate, Kyrie Irving for trophy

There’s hasn’t been a debate as to who the NBA’s best shooter is for about the past 3 seasons. That’s because there’s no debate, it’s Stephen Curry. Whether he’s hitting pull-up transition three-pointers as game winners or draining shot after shot off the pick-and-roll, there’s no one better. The numbers prove that.

However, the NBA All-Star Weekend 3-Point Contest can be a little different. A lot of the game’s best shooters feed off of the pressure of being in a game, and having defenders fly at them. Historically, the statistically better three-point specialists are not always the ones that win this competition. Well, until this year.

Stephen Curry hit three-pointers at a blistering rate in the championship round just a short while ago, making 20 out of 25 three pointers, and hitting 13 in a row (!) at one point en route to beating out his teammate, Klay Thompson, and fellow sharp shooter Kyrie Irving for the championship.
