Get Your Rest

You will never be able to properly focus if your head is bobbing up and down with your eyes closed. Getting the proper amount of rest assists with mental clarity, improving memory, increasing creativity, and sharpening your attention span.  Getting enough sleep assists the body in a number of ways as well, from relieving stress to having more emotional stability.  Make it a point to take naps or simply go to bed at a reasonable time to ensure your body has the time needed to go through all of its processes.

Multitasking Is Bull

The thought of multitasking typically gives people the false notion that a great deal of work is getting done. The truth much of the time is quite the opposite. The very nature of multitasking means that all of the things that you are doing never get your full undivided attention. The best thing to do is to set aside blocks of time to give a task your undivided attention.  The block of time should match your ability to concentrate solely on that task. If you can only really focus for 15 minutes at a time, then set aside that increment of time on a task and keep coming back to it in increments until it is completed. This will allow you to put your best foot forward no matter the task.

Little Stones From Big Mountains

Sometimes tasks seem so insurmountable that you may want to simply give up. When you shift your perspective however, you will be amazed at what you can conquer. Your mountain or task can be gargantuan, but if you tackle it stone by stone you will be victorious. Dedicate time each day to your mountain whatever it may be and I promise when you look back, the mountain will look smaller than when you started. Do not let the fear of failure or the size of the task scare you into being defeated before you begin.

Help Wanted

Asking for help is hard for many of us to do, trust me I know.  The truth is though, when people see you working hard toward your goals they are not only willing but often times eager to help. Good people with great energy always want to be a part of something that exhibits the same characteristics. As you conquer your mountains many of your friends, family, and even strangers may help you pick up and carry a few stones. Be grateful and humble because there is always someone with a big enough heart to help you on your journey and all you have to do is ask him or her.

Being as productive as possible is a valuable trait to have. Often times we want the success of others without putting in the work of others. Success comes when we invest in ourselves first. Finding and applying creative ways to increase your productivity will help to decrease your overall time and resource investments and increase your work output.  Try the suggestions in this article and reevaluate what you were able to accomplish within one week as compared to previous weeks.  I will be giving productivity tips on my Twitter page for the next couple of days so check me out and drop by to show me love on Twitter @NakeashaJ and on Instagram @Melanated_Beauty
