Its been fourteen years since the American Hip-Hop duo, Redman and Method Man, starred in the stoner film How High. There have been rumors of a How High 2 for years, and Redman recently confirmed the sequel in several interviews and at the Def Jam 30th Anniversary show in New York City. It’s the opinion of some that there doesn’t need to be a sequel–mainly because sequels usually aren’t as good as the original–but here’s 5 reasons why How High 2 needs to actually happen.

5. We’ve been impatiently waiting for over a decade.

We’ve been waiting for How High 2 just as long as we’ve been waiting for Last Friday. But since HH2 has been teased to no end in the past year, there’s some pretty serious anticipation for it.

4. Marijuana is slowly being legalized across the nation, so stoners need a new movie to watch.

‘How High’ depicts potheads as intellectuals and clears up misconceptions of the recreational drug. You can get high, and get high grades at the same time.

3. Weed is cool(er) now.

Research proves that cognition is unaffected by smoking marijuana and more people are using it, casually or medically. Therefore, more people will be able to relate to the movie.

Hip-Hop is far more than just beats and rhymes. Hip-Hop changed history, is apart of black cultural, and needs to be in more motion pictures.
