A Norway man decided that he did not want to be a father and did the unthinkable to his pregnant girlfriend. According to Sky News, the man ground up abortion pills he ordered online and put it in his 12 week pregnant girlfriend’s drink.
The man is now on trial for illegally putting the pills in his girlfriend’s drink. The 20 year old woman said that when she told her boyfriend she was pregnant, he was trying to convince her to abort the baby. While on trial, the man did not deny that he put the pills in her drink but told the court the reason why he did it was because he felt the baby will have a birth defect.
The man said he felt guilt and remorse but also felt it was his only option. The man pled guilty to inflicting bodily harm and under a rare law, terminating a pregnancy without the mother’s consent. If convicted, he could face 7 years in prison.
