1. Bold red lips were seen on the runway during Fashion Week, and have been seen all over on social media. Designers such as Carolina Herrera and Dolce and Gabanna had their models in shades of red.  A nice bold lip is a great way to make your face pop and stand out amongst the crowd.

2. Nude makeup gives you a fresh faced look. The surprise here is that it isn’t neccesarily about wearing less make up; only appearing as though you have. A great tip for a fresh look is combining foundation with a mist to give yourself a radiant dewy look.

3. Eyes are the windows to the soul, and eyeliner, both bold and fine, are a nice way of making your eyes a focal point when walking into any room. The fine lines are great day look and bold lines make a statement when hitting the town at night. Eyeliner is a great way to embellish and exaggerate your eyes, and it’s fun, too.

4. Hair is the greatest fashion accessory in my opinion, and having a great hair means having a great day. Springs cool colors are neutrals such as black and the pearly white blonde seen on fashionista Kim Kardashian. Messy tousled hair and braids are an easy look to achieve. Taking a big barrled curling iron and wrapping your hair in a few big sections is all it takes to get the messy look. If your braiding skills are not up to par, you will want to practice quickly. The fishtail and french braids are being revamped, and you’ll want to jump on board so you don’t miss out.

Hair color is trendy, too.  Balayage is an old, inexpensive French technique used to color your hair. It’s a freehand technique where the color is applied by hand, instead of use traditional methods, like foils or cap highlighting. If you want to color your hair by adding a few highlights and/or low lights, try the balayage technique.

Spring is here; be bold, have fun, and try some of these cool trends! Post some pictures on your Instagram or Twitter and tag us (@HerSource) so we can see how you recreate these looks.
