Big Sean & Ariana Grande Are No More

Hip-pop’s cutest couple has called it quits

After 8-months of an initially guarded, then very public relationship, Big Sean and Ariana Grande have broken up according to a US Weekly report.

Sean and Grande were first rumored to be dating after they were spotted backstage at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards holding hands, then caught locking lips on an amusement park kiss cam. Since then, they’ve gushed about each other on radio shows, performed together at the Jingle Ball holiday show in Los Angeles, and Grande appeared on Big Sean’s Dark Sky Paradise album.

According to a statement given to US Weekly, “They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends. We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time.”

Sources close to Big Sean and Ariana say it was hectic touring schedules that will keep them apart for most of the year that mainly contributed to the decision, which was reportedly “mutual” and “amicable.”
