Christopher Edwin Breaux is no more
Frank Ocean‘s transformation from awkward, stand-offish Odd Future crooner to the next great mysterious R&B singer/songwriter of this generation is officially complete. Born Christopher Edwin Breaux, the 27-year old New Orleans native has officially changed his government name to Frank Ocean.
According to TMZ, the “Pyramids” singer filed for the name change back in March, but due to outstanding legal issues, he couldn’t finalize the switch, but he’s officially ditched CEB, and can be acknowledged as Frank Ocean both on and off the stage.

Ocean is expected to release his sophomore album–the first Frank Ocean release since his Grammy Award-winning debut album channel ORANGE in 2012–sometime this summer.
