The Boys & Girls Harbor hosted its 2015 Salute to Achievement Benefit featuring special performances by Jennifer Hudson, Vanessa Williams, and the students of the Harbor at The Plaza Hotel.
Event Co-Chairs included Gwyneth Paltrow, Frank Gehry, Michael Strahan, Vanessa Williams, Anthony Ingrao, Steven Tisch, and Lyor Cohen. The evening was hosted by Sandra Bookman. David R. Weinreb, CEO of The Howard Hughes Corporation, was honored. Students of The Harbor performed “Glory.” Jennifer Hudson performed “Angel,” “Hallelujah,” and improvised duets with the students of The Harbor. Vanessa Williams sang “Colors of the Wind” and surprised the crowd by inviting Weinreb to join her for “On A Clear Day.”
Guests included Lyor Cohen, Bill Ackman, DJ Fulano, CeCe Peniston, Andrew Rosen, Rusty Staub, Rachel Axelrod, Will Carey, Bill Pickens, Paul Selver, Jonathan Carver, Ana Laspetkovski, Byron Garrett, Catherine Smith, David Wassong, Kevin Liles, Bill Burrs, Jonathan Canter and many more.
