Police Officer Found Not Guilty in Killing of Couple

A Cleveland police officer was found not guilty in the killing of a couple back in 2012. According to NY Daily News, Officer Michael Brelo was found not guilty in the unarmed killing of Malissa Williams and Timothy Russell on Saturday. Brelo was one of 13 officers who shot 137 bullets into the car of the couple after a high speed chase. Prosecutors fought hard to prove that Brelo intended to kill the couple after he reloaded his gun after the couple no longer seemed like a threat.

Brelo stood on top of the car and shot 15 rounds into the hood and the windshield of the car. Both Williams and Russell were each shot more than 20 times in less than 8 seconds.
