A tourist got a not-so-warm welcome from a random attacker
A 29-year old woman from Sweden visiting New York City is lucky to be alive after a run-in with a deranged man on a Brooklyn train platform.
According to the New York Post, the attacker, a man between the ages of 25 and 30 last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants, was not provoked or enticed by the woman prior to the attack, a fact that has many train riders looking over their shoulders today, considering he is still on the loose.
The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where she was treated–and later released–for her injuries, which were thankfully not life-threatening. A centimeter here or there, and she could’ve been much worse off. She was on her way to JFK to catch her flight, possibly back home to Sweden.
