The STARZ hit TV show ‘Power’ is back after leaving fans wanting more from the gritty Hip-Hop infused drama. The cast and creators graced the red carpet this week to promote the show and gave a little insight on what to expect this season.

The show takes viewers on a ride through the life of a notorious drug lord and businessman named James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick). He is looking to make right all the wrong he has done in life. Hardwick describes his character as growing and coming to terms with things. As he tries to remain calm and collected, viewers can expect to see Ghost “unravel at the seams”.
Executive producer, Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson makes his appearance on the show this season as Kanan, the leader of the organization he entrusted to Ghost. After being arrested on a questionable drug charge, Kanan has been released from prison and expects to take back what he mentored Ghost to build. Described as “The Year of Kanan”, this season fans can expect 50 Cent to give Ghost and his team a real run for the empire.
Tasha St. Patrick (Naturi Naughton) and Angela Valdes (Lela Loren) star as Ghost’s love interests. Ghost struggles with the decision of choosing his past or moving on to a better future. On one end is Tasha, the loving, supportive, ride or die, wife. She has been there for Ghost through all of his ups and downs. She is comfortable in the life they have and can’t see why Ghost would want to change that. On the other end, Angela wants to see Ghost become a businessman and move up in the corporate world. She wants to be the woman on his arm and build a life together. Although neither character would hint to an actual face off, the women admit that they do a lot of realizing and maturing this season. Female viewers have begun to choose sides and can relate to each character in their own way.
Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) stars as Ghost’s best friend and business partner in the drug game. In season one, he played second fiddle to Ghost and followed every directive he was given. This season we can expect to see Tommy step out of Ghost’s limelight and into his own. He is ready to do whatever it takes to keep business as usual.
Executive producer and creator, Courtney Kemp Agboh, is excited and surprised at the amount of success the show has. She and 50 Cent came together to work on the show after her father passed away in 2011. She used her father as a character builder for Ghost. The mannerisms, attention to detail and ability to lie are all key characteristics that Agboh said her father embodied.

Tune into STARZ on Saturday, June 6th at 9pm to continue the cast’s unexpected, jaw-dropping ride to power!
