YG took 2014 by storm, releasing his major label debut album, My Krazy Life–off the strength of his slow-burning Top 20 hit, “My N***a”–in March of that year to rave reviews, en route to being named one of The Source‘s 2014 Men of the Year. Since then, he’s maintained pop success, appearing on Jeremih‘s “Don’t Tell ‘Em,” which peaked at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100, and Fergie‘s “L.A. Love,” which cracked the Top 40 at #27.
Now, he’s prepping his sophomore album, Still Krazy, for a 2016 release, and in commemoration, graces the cover of The Fader‘s December issue. In the story, it’s revealed that one of the songs on Still Krazy features Nipsey Hussle, and 50 Cent, who apparently sounds “as good as 50’s sounded in a decade, where he raps with youthful hunger.” Fader also confirmed production contributions from Metro Boomin–who appeared on My Krazy Life—Hit-Boy and London On Da Track, and MKL‘s executive producer DJ Mustard, with whom YG had a brief spat with early this year.
