For those that don’t know Trevor Jackson, we introduced you to the former TV star with his debut as adult R&B crooner, In My Feelings, which featured Kevin Gates and Mystikal.
At the tail end of the project is “Like I Do,” an emotional cut that commemorates the loss of Jackson’s cousin, Mark Cotton, who was shot and killed last month, and another cousin of his, Randon, who was shot earlier this year but survived.
The video, which depicts Jackson speaking with his cousin and wishing him well just before gunfire erupts at a party, resulting in his cousin’s injury, is certainly an emotional ride, especially considering how real the events the video’s based on were to Jackson and his family.
