The Northlake Mall in North Carolina was a busy scene this afternoon (December 24) as roughly 30 police cars were on the scene after an altercation resulted in a shooting death. The store manager told CNN that a group of people attacked one man, and a member of the group pulled out a weapon and shot the man’s friend. This led to more gunfire as the violence intensified. Along with the deceased, who was pronounced dead on the scene, there were two other victims who were treated for injuries stemming from the same incident.
Off-duty officers whom were on the scene responded to the melee but were not injured. The authorities are reporting that the victim who suffered the fatal gunshot wound was armed as well.
Ironically enough, there was also a woman who went into labor at another area in the same mall, while another shopper suffered an asthma attack. Employees of the mall locked all doors and escorted shoppers out the back door upon hearing
