Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman Slips In Shower And Suffers Possible Concussion

The topic of concussions in the NFL has become an all too familiar narrative as the league has come under fire in the past few years over their protocol of treating athletes who suffer head injuries. So much so, that the highly touted Will Smith helmed film Concussion, is set to hit theaters tomorrow, highlighting that very issue.

Not very often though does this type of injury occur outside the lines. Thus is the case today with Atlanta Falcons running back Tevin Coleman. The rookie runner apparently slipped in the shower and is currently being treated for his injuries, which is believed to be a possible concussion. Coleman is currently undergoing the league’s new mandatory concussion protocol, which will allow team doctors to determine if he will be able to suit up for this weekend’s game against the Carolina Panthers.
