Well, it seems like the “Black Mamba” is still agile enough to break records. At the age of 37, Kobe became the youngest player ever to reach 33,000 career points. The milestone moment came around the 1:10 mark in the 2nd quarter when Bryant knocked down his signature turn around jump shot on Sacramento Kings guard Ben McLemore. The leading 2016 NBA All Star vote getter scored 18 first half points as his Lakers was trailing early 69-48.

The Lakers crawled and fought back in which they eventually took the lead at one point behind solid play from Jordan Clarkson and D’Angelo Russell. But a couple of turnovers and clutch defensive stops being made by Rajon Rondo led to the Kings regaining their lead and never looked back. The final score was 118-115. Despite turning his ankle which sidelined him for the remaining moments of crunch time, Russell finished with a career high 27 points and 4 assists. While seeing 30 minutes of action, Bryant finished with 28 points, shooting 10-for-18 in the field. Next up in the Kobe farewell tour is a pit stop back to Hollywood as they play host to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Expect the Black Mamba add onto this amazing accomplishment as he continues to show signs that he still got it
