The Hip Hop world scored another big coup today as megastar LL Cool J received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday (January 21). With a career spanning over 30 years, LL Cool J, real name James Todd Smith, has been a constant staple in Hip Hop culture while also crossing over into mainstream media. The Queens rapper was the first rap artist to amass 10 consecutive platinum albums while also starring in blockbuster films such as Deep Blue Sea and Any Given Sunday.
LL also made his mark on television, this with his very own sitcom In The House, and most recently his role on NCIS: Los Angeles, this along with hosting the Annual Grammy Awards 5 years in a row. Among those speaking at the ceremony in front of the Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard were Queen Latifah and Diddy, while Russell Simmons, Magic Johnson and Les Moonves were present in the crowd as LL received the 2,571st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
