Last night, the critically acclaimed film Straight Outta Compton received two coveted NAACP Awards; one for “Outstanding FIlm” and another Image Award for Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., for “Best Supporting Actor”.
Along with the N.W.A. biopic, the NAACP Image Awards also recognized other films that weren’t nominated for an Oscar. This includes Beasts Of No Nation as well as the Rocky sequel Creed, featuring Michael B. Jordan.
